This picture is created from photographs of my sculptures. One features a tattooed woman — I am intrigued by the evolution of personal adornment, particularly the practice of tattooing. The other sculptures are of dogs, representing my reflections on the deep, intrinsic relationship between humans and other animals.
Here, they are gathered together within the ancient walls of a Bronze Age settlement that I photographed on Dartmoor, England.
The name Britain is thought to originate from our ancient love of tattoos. This worldwide popular form of adornment was widespread in ancient England, as observed and recorded by the invading Romans in 55 BC.
