This picture is created by photographing two of my sculptures, The Siblings, which are part of a series titled Travellers. These sculptures also serve as vessels to hold ashes. The background is a photograph I took in Pisa, Italy.

This body of work, Travellers, reflects not only our mortality, our personal journey of life, but also our movement and our impact on the world. This has led to extraordinary outcomes — our remarkable ability to create and build is undeniable.  Yet sadly, it has also resulted in devastating consequences.

It has always mystified and saddened me that the desire for aggression and dominance so often outweighs the realisation that there is so much to be gained from collaboration.
